Just want to check if the dog is really on the couch or if someone's standing at the back door? With most indoor cameras, all you see from a distance is a grainy blur. The Xiaomi Smart Camera C701 Pro films in 4K with two lenses: a wide-angle for the full view and a telephoto that zooms in up to 9x. That way you can see clearly what's happening on the other side of the room too, and at night it stays in full color.

Color image at night

In low light, the camera switches to color night vision, so you can still see details at dusk. In the dark, ten infrared LEDs take over, without any visible red glow. That makes it perfect for the nursery too.

Hears and recognizes what's happening

The AI recognizes people, pets, a crying baby and sounds like breaking glass. With a virtual fence, you only get alerts about the zones you choose. Through the speaker and microphone, you can talk remotely with whoever's at home.

Privacy physically arranged

If you'd rather stay out of view, a physical cover slides in front of the lens, either through the app or by hand. So you can tell straight from the camera itself that it can't see a thing. Footage is sent encrypted.

Storage the way you want it

Recordings are saved to a microSD card up to 256 GB, a NAS on your network, or the cloud. Thanks to H.265, you can fit more hours of 4K on the same card. Dual-band Wi-Fi 6 streams the footage smoothly to your phone.

4K with 9x hybrid zoom

Two lenses, one sharp image

The C701 Pro combines an 8 MP wide-angle lens with a 127° field of view and a 5 MP telephoto lens. The wide-angle keeps the entire room in view, and as soon as you zoom in the telephoto lens takes over, up to 9x hybrid zoom. That keeps a face or the label on a package readable even from a distance, where digital zoom would long since show a blocky blur. Both lenses have a bright f/1.6 aperture, so the image stays crisp even in lamplight.

360° rotation, 180° tilt

Moving with the times

The camera rotates 360° and tilts 180°, so a single device covers an entire room. If something moves, it automatically follows the subject and adjusts its rotation speed accordingly, so even a running cat won't disappear from view. Place it on a cabinet and it works right away; you can also mount it to the ceiling, after which the app simply sets the image upright.

FAQ about the Xiaomi Smart Camera C701 Pro

Can't find your question here? Email or call us, we're happy to help you out.

Why doesn't the Xiaomi Smart Camera C701 Pro track people or pets?

Tracking of people and pets and cry detection are turned off by default. After installation, turn on the AI features in the Xiaomi Home app and they'll work right away.

Which microSD card should you use in the Xiaomi Smart Camera C701 Pro?

A microSD card up to 256 GB, Class 10 or higher and suitable for video recording. With a slower card, the 4K recording will stutter. Saving to a NAS on your network or to the cloud with a subscription is also an option.

Can you mount the Xiaomi Smart Camera C701 Pro on the ceiling?

Yes. It works right away on a cabinet, and you can also mount it to the ceiling. After that, just flip the image in the Xiaomi Home app so it's upright.

How do you get fewer notifications from the Xiaomi Smart Camera C701 Pro?

Adjust the notification interval in the app; by default the camera waits 10 minutes between two alerts. With a virtual fence you can also limit notifications to the zones you really want to monitor, such as the kitchen or the balcony.
