The Zendure SolarFlow 800 Plus is a compact plug-in home battery designed for balcony setups and small solar energy systems. With a storage capacity of 1.92 kWh, an 800 watt AC output and support for dual MPPT input, this system is aimed at users who want to make smarter use of their own solar power without any major installation.
Compact home battery
The SolarFlow 800 Plus features an integrated LiFePO4 battery with a nominal energy of 1920 Wh. The system has a modular design and can be expanded up to 11.52 kWh with extra AB2000L or AB2000X batteries. That makes it suitable as an entry-level solution, but also ready to grow when you need more storage later on.
Thanks to its compact size and weight of 21.1 kg, the unit is easy to place on a balcony, in a shed or in a storage room. Compared to the SF800, the SF800 Plus is a whopping 32% more compact and 12% lighter, while the only things it lacks are an off-grid backup power output and it has 2 MPPT inputs instead of 4. The compact size makes the SF800 Plus the best home battery for an apartment, shed or balcony.
Solar panels and grid power
For solar energy, the SolarFlow 800 Plus has two MPPT inputs, each rated for up to 750 W, with a total PV input of 1500 W. The operating voltage range of 14 to 55 V means the system can become active even in low light conditions.
On the AC side, the system delivers a continuous output of 800 W via a standard wall socket. Charging from the grid is possible up to 1000 W, so you can also store energy when the sun isn't shining.
Smart energy management
The SolarFlow 800 Plus works together with Zendure's Home Energy Management System (HEMS). This system analyzes energy consumption, battery status and dynamic rates, and adjusts its charging and discharging behavior accordingly. The SF800 Plus also has an official Home Assistant integration, and you can control it via Local MQTT, ZenSDK and RestAPI too.
Several energy modes are available through the app. Zenki mode focuses on automatic optimization with dynamic energy rates and takes as much work off your hands as possible. Auto mode continuously adjusts the charging and discharging behavior to the current situation, without you having to step in manually. For users who want more control, there's Expert mode, in which you can set your own schedules and determine priorities. The control works locally, with a fast response time and fine power regulation.
Safe design
Zendure has built multiple safety layers into the SolarFlow 800 Plus. The system uses a Cloud BMS to monitor voltage, current and temperature, combined with intelligent charge and discharge control at low temperatures.
In addition, the housing is fitted with a flame-retardant gel that expands in case of overheating and limits heat spread. The metal housing is IP65-rated, making the system resistant to dust and splashing water and suitable for indoor and sheltered outdoor setups.
Efficient architecture
The SolarFlow 800 Plus works with a 48 V architecture, which according to the specifications results in lower energy losses than traditional low-voltage systems. Combined with GanZen technology, energy is converted more efficiently, with less heat development.
Each battery is monitored separately via an independent BMS module, so that differences between modules don't affect the overall system performance.
